All your requirements for a venue to host your successful event are available right here at the Port Lincoln Yacht Club. There is plenty of parking adjacent to the Club in Eyre Street with overflow parking freely at hand on Tasman Terrace. Our venue will cater for approximately 300 people comfortably upstairs, although events like the “Long Lunch” have accommodated many more. Our upstairs function room features an in-built and unobtrusive public address system along with data projector, a large bar area, sizeable dance floor and attractive outdoor balcony with sliding doors that open to the beautiful Boston Bay. Self catering arrangements are welcome but don’t forget our famous in-house catering, complete with our friendly bar service.
The cosy downstairs bar caters for up to 70 patrons and opens onto a paved area next to the beach, within the confines of our licence. This bar is perfect for smaller, intimate functions in a “cocktail” style environment. However, if you are self catering, only BBQ facilities are available for this room.
Our venue continues to host successful events, such as the highly successful presentation day for our own Adelaide to Port Lincoln Yacht Race together with varied sailing regattas that attract participants from all over Australia.
Non-sailing events include providing one of Port Lincoln’s larger venues for the annual and infamous “Long Lunch” charity function where hundreds of patrons sample the fine food provided by our renowned in-house catering team and the wonderful locally sourced wines.
For your special day, our staff will do their utmost to meet your expectations. Whatever the weather, our venue’s nautical theme never goes out of date, featuring a timeless view over the beach and anchorage below. The upstairs function room caters for approximately 300 people comfortably and includes an in-built public address system along with a data projector (upon request), a large bar area, sizeable dance floor and large commercial kitchen area. The upstairs function room has large sliding doors which open onto the balcony overlooking beautiful Boston Bay. Access is either via stairs at the front or side of the club and a lift is available for use if required.
Don’t forget our famous in-house catering is also available complete with friendly bar service. Our chef is well known for his superb culinary skills and is always available to help plan the perfect menu for your function.
